of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation was
highlighted last year when Pope Benedict XVI
visited the Park East Synagogue in New York, at
the invitation of its spiritual leader Rabbi
Arthur Schneier, who is also the founder and
President of ACF. The Pope’s visit was not only
a historic moment, but it also underlined the
relevance of the very important work that the
Appeal of Conscience Foundation has done.
Since 1965,
the interfaith ACF has been actively involved in
furthering religious freedom, human rights,
tolerance and inter-religious dialogue in
Russia, China, the Balkans, Central Asia,
Central Europe, Argentina, Cuba and Turkey. The
Foundation has been active worldwide, energizing
religious leaders of the major faith communities
for dialogue and coexistence.
