SOUTHAMPTON, NY –
The Parrish Art Museum’s Midsummer Party, a
highlight of the Hamptons summer season,
will take place Saturday, July 11, starting
at 7 pm. This year’s event will celebrate
Dorothy
Lichtenstein for her
extraordinary energy, enthusiasm, and
generous commitment to art and culture.
Dorothy Lichtenstein has been a trustee of
the Parrish since 2000 and has contributed
to the success of countless Museum programs
and exhibitions. Dorothy’s close friends and
party co-chairs,
Agnes Gund,
Jo Carole Lauder, and
Ronald
Lauder, along with Host Committee
Chair
Larry Gagosian, and Host
Committee Vice-Chairs,
Gayle
Perkins Atkins, Deborah Bancroft, Danielle
Ganek, and
Kelly Behun
Sugarman will come together with
the Parrish to honor the woman whose charm,
energy, and ceaseless generosity have
touched the Museum for so many years.
This summer’s spectacular décor will be
provided by The Daily Blossom, the
exhilarating music by Peter Duchin and his
Orchestra, and the fabulous food courtesy of
Great Performances. The Midsummer Party
begins with cocktails and dinner in an air
conditioned tent in the Museum’s historic
arboretum, then kicks into high gear with
dessert, drinks, and dancing from 10 pm to 1
am. The sell-out party draws approximately
550 dinner guests and 500 “After Ten”
attendees—primarily affluent
Hamptons
second-homeowners and individuals with
sophisticated tastes and interest in the
visual arts.
Individual dinner tickets are $1000 for
Patrons, $2500 for Benefactors. Tables are
priced from $10,000 to $50,000. All who
purchase tables or Benefactor tickets will
be invited to an exclusive cocktail
reception in August hosted by Larry Gagosian
at his East Hampton
home. After Ten Tickets are priced at $100,
$150 after June 26. More information and
tickets are available from the Special
Events Office,
