New York City from 26-29 June 2015.

Presented by Friendship Ambassadors Foundation, Inc. (FAF),

the Rhythms of One World 2015

will open on Friday, 26 June

with a Gala Concert in the iconic General Assembly Hall

 of the United Nations Headquarters

in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the
 signing of the UN Charter

“We The Peoples,”
hosted by the Permanent Mission of Romania to the United Nations in collaboration with the United Nations

Department of Public Information.

The festival will continue with Friendship Concerts

at the

NYU Eisner and Lubin Auditorium on Saturday June 27,

and conclude at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on Monday 29 June.

The Rhythms of One World International Choral Festival

is considered unique from others musical events in that it focuses not only on great performances, but also on the role of music as a universal language that promotes intercultural understanding and global cooperation among nations.

The 2015 Rhythms of One World International Choral Festival

will feature high-caliber international ensembles including:

 The Singing Angels (USA),

Allegretto Children’s Choir (Romania),

Chamber Choir Ivan Filipović (Croatia),

National Center for the Performing Arts Choir (People’s Republic of China),

and Ulsan Philharmonic Orchestra (Republic of Korea).

Special performances will be made by the UN Rock Music Group comprised of Permanent Representatives of Romania, Denmark, Republic of Korea, Serbia, Kingdom of Tonga, and Kingdom of Thailand, as well as

 members of the UN Secretariat.

Special celebrity guests to be announced.

The 2015 Rhythms of One World Festival

is under the patronage of UNESCO,

and presented in part with a generous grant from the
American Oriental Arts Foundation, led by Executive Producer Ms. Alice Liu.

During its premiere in 2012, more than 5,000 people attended the weeklong
 festival in Manhattan.

The Opening Concert in Avery Fisher Philharmonic Hall

earned a great review in the New York Times summed up with the words:

“Nations United in Song.”

The closing concert at the UN General Assembly Hall was attended by more than 1,000 UN Officials, Ambassadors, UN Staff and friends, and was broadcast live in Manhattan via UN-TV, on Time Warner Cable and is archived on the UN website.

Former New York City Mayor Bloomberg observed of the inaugural festival,

“It is a great pleasure to welcome everyone to the Rhythms of One World International Choral Festival, hosted by Friendship Ambassadors Foundation. With performances at venues across Manhattan, a concert commemorating the anniversary of the signing of the United Nations charter, and a variety of workshops offered throughout the week, this festival is a wonderful opportunity for residents and visitors alike to celebrate the cultural diversity that makes our City so great.”

“The festival provides the opportunity for singers from cultures around the world to share, celebrate, and participate in a life-changing choral music experience,”

 states Ms. Yin-Chu Jou,
FAF Artistic Director and Co-Founder/Manager  of the Festival.

“With the festival becoming an international spectacle, choristers and aficionados

across the globe eagerly anticipate the event every year.”

Ms. Jou also noted that the festival aims to increase youth participation in civic and UN issues through festival workshops and side events.
