The Rhythms of
One World
International Choral Festival
will make its
highly anticipated return to stages across
New York City from
26-29 June 2015.
Presented by
Friendship Ambassadors Foundation, Inc. (FAF),
the Rhythms of One
World 2015
will open on Friday,
26 June
with a Gala Concert
in the iconic General Assembly Hall
of the United Nations
Headquarters
in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the
signing of the UN Charter
“We The Peoples,”
hosted by the
Permanent Mission of Romania to the United Nations in
collaboration with the United Nations
Department of Public
Information.
The festival will
continue with Friendship Concerts
at the
NYU Eisner and Lubin
Auditorium on Saturday June 27,
and conclude at
Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on Monday 29 June.
The Rhythms of One
World International Choral Festival
is considered
unique from others musical events in that it focuses not
only on great performances, but also on the role of music as
a universal language that promotes intercultural
understanding and global cooperation among nations.
The 2015 Rhythms of
One World International Choral Festival
will feature
high-caliber international ensembles including:
The Singing
Angels (USA),
Allegretto
Children’s Choir (Romania),
Chamber Choir Ivan
Filipović (Croatia),
National
Center for the Performing Arts Choir (People’s Republic of
China),
and Ulsan
Philharmonic Orchestra (Republic of Korea).
Special performances
will be made by the UN Rock Music Group comprised of
Permanent Representatives of Romania, Denmark, Republic of
Korea, Serbia, Kingdom of Tonga, and Kingdom of Thailand, as
well as
members of the
UN Secretariat.
Special
celebrity guests to be announced.
The 2015 Rhythms of
One World Festival
is under the
patronage of UNESCO,
and presented in
part with a generous grant from the
American Oriental Arts Foundation, led by Executive Producer
Ms. Alice Liu.
During its
premiere in 2012, more than 5,000 people attended the
weeklong
festival in Manhattan.
The Opening Concert
in Avery Fisher Philharmonic Hall
earned a great
review in the New York Times summed up with the words:
“Nations United in
Song.”
The closing concert
at the UN General Assembly Hall was attended by more than
1,000 UN Officials, Ambassadors, UN Staff and friends, and
was broadcast live in Manhattan via UN-TV, on Time Warner
Cable and is archived on the UN website.

York City Mayor Bloomberg observed of the inaugural
festival,

celebrate the cultural diversity that makes our City so
