Rabbi Marc Schneier and Russell Simmons hosted the Foundation
for Ethnic Understanding's Annual New York Benefit Reception
on December 5th at Helen Yarmak International. The Evening
honored Michael Karsch, William M. Lewis, Jr., and Alex Sapir
with the prestigious Joseph Papp Racial Harmony Award in
recognition of their work and dedication to the strengthening
of race relations, and to their commitment to diversity and
tolerance.
The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding was founded in 1989 by
Rabbi Marc Schneier and the late Joseph Papp with the desire
to promote harmony between different ethnic groups instead of
perpetuating adversity and hate. Today the Foundation is at
the forefront of strengthening inter group relations among
distinctive and vibrant communities that comprise our nation. |
