The American Finals
of the 30th Miss Asian World Beauty Contest,
which is
co-sponsored by the American Chamber of International
Commerce,
was hosted at the Prestigious, Millennium Hotel In Los
Angeles
After a fierce
but friendly competition in national costume, swimming suit,
sportswear, talent show, dress and witty Q&A, withthe
18 Asian-Americans contestants
The 2008 Miss Asian World Championship, winner also
had the highest score in the hotel management major of
California State University Pomona.
Zhang Yuxuan, an
undergraduate student majoring in broadcasting
and hosting, won the runner-up in the finals.
The third
runner-up was selected by Jialie Jibuhulan from Mongolia.
The judges of
this finals are all famous people from Hollywood performing
arts, movies, fashion and industry in the United States.
Their participation highlights the professionalism and
authority of the judges of this finals. Participants in the
contest are celebrities in politics, business and art
circles.
Harmony Liu
(Liu Xinge) and Norman Pang (Pong Hesong), a high school
student from New York, were invited by the American
International Chamber of Commerce to participate in the
opening ceremony of Latin Dance
. They won the
Outstanding Performance Award
of the Organizing Committee of the Miss Asian World
Competition.
