Let’s Go To the Movies! Actors, Actresses, Fast Cars, … and a Party for Saint Patty!

 

Elite Professional Networking Group (EPN) hosted another fabulous event on March 16^th  - the eve of Saint Patrick’s Day!  What a great way to get the parade started! This event was co-hosted by Black Tie International Magazine, Giorgio G Cognac (by Famous Fashion Designer Giorgio GUCCI), Emperors Vodka, and Alessi AR-1 Supercar. 

 The luck of the Irish was evident throughout the evening at the World Bar! So, even while many of our regular guests were off to their weekend get-away retreats, and many others were observing Sabbath, we still had a full house on Friday - with some very classy, very happy celebrants.  It’s no blarney when I say our Saint Patrick's Day Red Carpet Celebration was another outstanding networking event!

 Our early guests got to see something special - a movie photo shoot with the Alessi AR-1 Supercar - a half million-dollar car with a limited production of only 50 – along with the cast member of the movie "AMERICAN 79.” These young actors and actresses were dressed “to the nines.”  The cast members had a terrific time - and why not?  Who can beat a backdrop of Trump Towers and powerful sports car, along with a gaggle of photographers!  The film’s celebrities were Bill-Lee Lanndis, Nicole Melillo, Daniele Melillo, Eleonora Petracca, Kevin Wainczak, Kristie Coppola, Jennifer Martinez, Pamela Martin and there Executive Producer Faith Dickey of T2- Entertainment.  I must say this: Faith is a very gracious lady. Photographer Carlo Mallol took some great shots.  Watch for the names of these actors, actresses, and the executive producer, because you will be seeing a lot of them in the future.  And the movie “AMERICAN 79” promises to be a hit!! Set in the 1970’s, this film has the spirit of  “Grease” and “Saturday Night Fever.”  The Alessi AR-1 Supercar was in the movie’s publicity photos because the car is also called the American 79!  The car was first introduced in 1979, designed and manufactured right here in the USA. (The car is hand crafted on Long Island by Mr. Nick Alessi’s car company).  It was exciting to put the cast AMERICAN 79 together with the Alessi America 79 for promotional photographs and posters. 

 A word about the AR-1: The Alessi AR-1 Supercar belongs in the movies! It is simply beautiful. While the AR-1 may be a street legal race car - I think it is a work of art on wheels.  Many of our car enthusiasts were sure in attendance to see this car. And they loved it!  So many people told me they were so impressed with the vehicle. After the photo shoot, and when the car was parked outside the World Bar, it was amazing to see so many New Yorkers simply stop in their tracks to stare, photograph and talk about the car.  How ‘bout that for New Yorkers who are so hard to impress, and even harder to slow down!!

 The General Manager of the Trump Tower World Bar, and Vice President of Hospitality Holdings -Mr. Kenneth McClure, arranged the photo session in the courtyard of the Trump Tower International by the United Nations.  Mr. McClure took time from some many responsibilities to help us - he manages eight different lounges, bars and restaurants, including the five thousand square feet Empire Room at the Empire State Building.  We want to thank him and the management of the Trump Tower for allowing us to do our photo shoot at their courtyard. Everybody loved the venue and had high praise for all of people associated with Trump Tower.   

 At our Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration, we continued our tradition of recognizing our men and women in the armed forces. We honored three of our country’s veterans: US Army Keyla Gammarano and USMC /ARNG Victoria Givens, both who served in Iraq, and US Army Sgt. Curtis Bolden who served in both in Iraq and Afghanistan. Tony Ntellas, Manager  Alumni, Wounded Warrior Projects, accompanied the veterans. Matt Givens, Victoria’s husband, was also in attendance. We thank Keyla, Victoria, and Curtis for their service and sacrifices
 to our country.

 We also celebrated the March birthdays of our members.  Cake and a sing-out went to Life & Style Coach Susan Korwin and Husain Ansar of New York Life and Elite Professional Networking Group.  Susan was accompanied by her celebrity dentist husband, Dr. Robert Korwin. The cake was delicious.

 Our entertainers that evening were singer Ife-Gail Young and musician/singer Duke Curry.  Smooth sounds and cool jazz moved our guests to dance, sing and sway the night away.  My American idols are now this duo! 

 Nick Alessi is a regular monthly table sponsor, highlighting his sleek AR-I Supercar with his laptop.  His brochures went fast since everybody was so excited that they saw the car.

 As usual, the Trump Tower World Bar, headed by General Manager Kenneth McClure, and his staff, gave us great food and service.  According to my good friend Gregory Von Hess, of Von Hess Industries, the drinks made from Emperors Vodka
were terrific.

 As always, our attendees are always happy to see old friends and make new ones. Our special mix of guests - with so many people from different backgrounds, business experiences, and industries – makes the evening interesting and engaging.  Having the cast from “AMERICAN 79” was a special treat. The actresses and actors were so nice and very sweet -they readily mixed and mingled throughout the evening! Everybody had a good time. Another fabulous event!
