New Board
Member:
Diane Murray

End Arts is
proud to
announce a
new addition
to the Board
of
Directors:
Diane Murray
of Empire
National
Bank.
Executive
Director Pat
Snyder

Diane Murray
to the
board.
Diane's
expertise
and insight,
passion for
community
and
appreciation
of the arts
will
compliment
the other
talents and
knowledge on
our board,
supporting
the
organization
as we look
to the next
40 years."
When asked
of her
recent
appointment,
Diane Murray
states, "My
reason for
first
getting
involved
with East
End Arts was
to be able
to give back
to a
community
organization
in the town
in which I
live. I
recently
accepted the
position to
become a
member of
the Board of
Directors as
well as
joining the
Finance
Committee in
order to
spend more
time on my
commitment
and where I
can use my
skills as an
accountant
and a
business
person to
assist East
End Arts."
Diane has
been elected
Treasurer of
the board
for the next
fiscal year,
which begins
September 1,
2012.
Diane Murray
has
thirty-four
years of
accounting
experience
with
thirteen
years in
public
accounting
employed by
Ernst &
Young, LLC
and five of
those
thirty-four
years in
banking
prior to
joining
Empire
National
Bank in 2007
where she
functioned
as the
Controller
and then the
Director of
Internal
Audit. At
Empire
National
Bank, she
holds the
title of
Senior Vice
President,
Controller
and BSA/Compliance
Officer and
is a member
of senior
management.
Diane has a
Masters
Degree in
Accounting
from the
University
of
Massachusetts
and a
Bachelors
Degree from
the
University
of San
Francisco.
She is a
Certified
Public
Accountant
licensed in
the States
of New York
and
Connecticut,
a member of
the New York
and
Connecticut
State
Societies,
and a member
of the
American
Institute of
Certified
Public
Accountants.
Diane Murray
currently
lives in
Riverhead
and resides
about five
miles from
the home
where she
grew up in
Aquebogue.
At East End
Arts, she
has been
involved on
a number of
event
committees
throughout
the years.
Additionally,
she is
active in
the Eastern
Outboard
Racing Club
where she is
the
treasurer.
She was
formerly the
treasurer
and a member
of the board
of directors
of the U.S.
Title Series
and
currently is
a member of
the American
Power Boat
Association.
Diane is an
active
member with
a nonprofit
organization,
Race for the
Kids
Foundation,
which
contributes
monies to
fund
activities,
parks and
events for
children
through the
venue of
powerboat
racing. In
the past,
Diane has
also
contributed
time to
Habitat for
Humanity.
Diane Murray
joins the
esteemed and
dedicated
Board of
Directors of
East End
Arts,
composed of
15 active
members with
backgrounds
ranging from
business to
education,
from media
to finance,
from
creative to
legal, some
with tenures
over 25
years, under
the
leadership
of the
2011-12
Board
Officers:
President
Annika
Shapiro,
Vice
President
Jim Lennon,
Treasurer
Sandra
Novick, and
Secretary
Gwen Branch.
