THE
PRINCES BALL
II held its
second
annual
Masquerade
Gala in
Cipriani
42nd Street,
and the
Brazilian
music rose
to the high
rafters.
Under the
Patronage
of, and in
the presence
of,
TRH Crown Prince Alexander and
Crown Princess Katherine, the events title -
Princes
Peter,
Philip,
Alexander
headlined
the event.
People came from everyone to enjoy the fun, including
formal
foreign
diplomats,
Serbian
citizens
living all
across America, a co-chair from California, friends from
Palm Beach,
on and on
and on into
the 1 a.m.
night.
It was
magical, and
every girl
felt like
Cinderella.
The event
benefits
LIFELINE NY,
the charity
headed by
HRH Crown
Princess
Katherine,
a passionate advocate for the health and wellbeing of the women and
children in
Serbia.
"Serbia has
the highest
rate of
death from
breast
cancer of
all
European
countries.
And, our
children
born at
high risk have few incubators
for those critical first months of life. There are so many problems when
people have
the residues
of some very
long wars. But, we are a resilient people, and
with the
help and
generosity
of so many
friends,
life is
improving.

grateful to
all of you
for
supporting
LIFELINE
NY,"
Princess
Katherine
noted in her
speech.
Catherine
Saxton
served as
Chairman
Emeritus of
the Gala,
and
Kipton
Cronkite,
Sugar
Rautbord
and
Elisabeth Thieriot were chairs.
The
committee
included,
Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia
who came
with the
lovely
Sharon Bush,
Larry Kaiser,
Jean and
Martin
Shafiroff,
Della
Rounick,
Paola and
Arnie
Rosenshein,
a SAKS FIFTH
AVENUE table
which had
graciously
donated a $35,000 sable for the auction.
Dr. Ruth
Westheimer
graciously
auctioned
herself
and lunch to
four lucky
people.
Famed artist
Josee Nadeau
created a
masterpiece
during the
Gala
and it was auctioned off, as well.
Anna Maria
Tornaghi,
one of
Brazil's
most famous
event
planners
co-ordinated
the
musicians,
dancers,
and singers
from
Brazil.
Board
members,
Joan
Standish,
David
Hryck,
Sam Munshani
and Pete
Pizzino
were on hand
to
celebrate.
And the two
totally
eminent Doctors who have been the guiding lights
behind
LIFELINE NY
for many
years were
there
to celebrate
- Dr.
Hedi Hrickah
and Dr.
Alexander
Margulis.
Other VIPs
included
Antonia and

Makkos,
Cheri
