Jackie Rogers showcased her Spring 2008 women's collection at
the Midtown Loft on Wednesday, September 5th at 267 Fifth. The
champagne reception began at 1:30 PM followed by the show
which started at 2. She featured clothing inspired by the
Egyptian 18th dynasty.
Her Spring 2008 clothes featured a sequence of linen burlap
jackets, pants and dresses, silk jersey shirt-dresses,
plunging tops and snake-skin bustiers evoking Egyptian style.
Interwoven into her clothing were necklaces and bracelets made
of turquoise, amber and teal Swarovski crystal, as well as
wooden amulets.
Jackie Rogers has played many roles in her life, including
acting for the famed director Federico Fellini and being the
only current designer to have worked alongside Mademoiselle
Chanel. Today, Jackie has opened three successful stores in
New York City, Palm Beach, and East Hampton and has plans for
further expansion this year. In addition, the Jackie Rogers
line is sold in the finest specialty stores in the United
States, Canada and Europe. |
