Known as America’s largest conservation organization
with 4 million members and supporters,
National Wildlife Federation has established the
Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund,
which will house all our work to protect and restore the
wildlife and habitats impacted in the region.
 
This work has a two-fold approach:
the immediate need to protect and rescue birds, fish,
other wildlife and habitats from the oil spill,
and the long-term need to restore the fragile
nesting and breeding grounds that will be damaged by
 oil infiltration through hands-on work
and policy reform.
