ANOTHER GREAT EUROPEAN TRIP

The
European Entrepreneur Expo and Black Tie
Gala event in London was a fabulous
event.
Lead by President Bill Clinton and
Bill Walsh, of Power Team International,
this exciting and informative experience
brought together famous celebrities,
actors, entertainers and business
leaders from across the world. Tony
Robbins was only one of the many stars
brightening a wonderful conference and
Gala event.
Mr.
Bill Walsh of Power Team addressed the
audience each day to highlight ways to
improve both business and life. The
conference also featured a host of
speakers focused on maximizing
individual
and team potential.
To encourage
participation, there were panel
discussions, seminars and debates. The
Expo emphasis was to support culture
diversity and equality, with an
understanding everyone can have the
power and
influence the world.
This
Expo and Black Tie event helped support
two charity foundations. One was the
Prince's Trust of London. This Trust
works with young teens and adults
struggling at school, work and with the
law. It has helped tens of thousands of
young people since 1976. The second
charity is the William J. Clinton
Foundation, dedicated to improve global
health, strengthen economies, promote
healthier childhoods,
and protect the environment.
Toward
the end of the Entrepreneur Expo,
President Bill Clinton gave a poignant
speech, followed by a Black Tie Gala
Event at the ballroom of the
Intercontinental
Hotel in
London. There was a photo shoots with
President Clinton from 6:00 to 7:00, and
then, cocktails and dinner but we were
late for the photo shoots.
We had
an engaging talk and pictures taken with
Toni Robbins. We also had the chance to
have pictures taken with Tina O'Hagan of
Tina O'Hagan Associates from Ireland,
Frank and Claudia Schmidt of Koonbee of
Germany, a team owner of Formula 1
racing, a variety of actors and singers,
and of course Bill Walsh.
Immediately following the European Expo
was the start of the Winn University
Class by Bill Walsh, President and
Founder of Power Team International. It
was held at the Victoria Plaza Hotel. It
was a very good class in which we
learned public speaking skills, personal
expression techniques, and aspects of
global marketing. There was a focus on
how to find new customers and investors
in today’s competitive economic times.
To check more about the classes of Power
Team International go to
ipowerteam.com
. Also, I can answer some of your
questions since I have attended several
of classes in different parts of the
world.
The
attendees came from many, different
countries – the United States, Canada,
Scotland,
South
Africa, Germany, Austria, England, and
Singapore and Thailand.
After
every seminar, we filled the night with
a different activity: dinner with Bill
Walsh, the theater, or cocktails at the
Hilton’s Galvin at
the
Windows. On some nights my niece,
Nerrissa, took us to dinner. My good
friend, the actor and director, Bill Lanndis came
to London
for the event also.
We were
also invited to a brunch at Kensington
Palace with my friend, the Baroness
Maria Perry. She has written
several award winning books including
"The Sisters of King Henry."
Kensington
Palace was the residence of the late
Princes Diana. Now her son, Prince
William and his wife Kate live there.
The palace grounds have beautiful
gardens. Unfortunately, due to time
constrains we did not have our picture
taken in front of the
Palace Gate.
As a
side note, I have many relatives and
friends in London, and other parts of
Europe. At one time, I used to live
there before I moved to New York. I
still go back a few times a year. This
May, I will be covering the Wine
Festival in Austria. I will be staying
at the Intercontinental Hotel, and then
I fly to Germany, Ireland, and London to
cover
some
other events. Next winter, I will go
back to Europe, and then,
continue to on to Dubai.
From
London we traveled to Paris. We stayed
at the Holiday Inn in St.
Germaine, which is near Prada, Gucci and
Armani. The Holiday Inn’s central
location to so many wonderful sites make
it the perfect vacation spot! Notre
Dame seemed like it was ‘in our
backyard.’ At our hotel, the staff was
accommodating to all of our needs, and
made every day very, very special!
While at breakfast, I met Jackie De
Louw, a Revenue System Training
Consultant of IHG Intercontinental
Hotels Group, which is consists
of Intercontinental Hotels, Holiday Inns
and Crown Plazas. She travels all over
the world as a staff trainer. Wow,
isn’t she lucky - she gets to go to lots
and lots of hotels!
OK,
I’ll admit it. My one guilty pleasure
is hotels. I love staying in hotels. I
love their comfort, ease and pleasure.
And, my favorite is the Intercontinental
in New York. As an experienced traveler,
I look forward to enjoying the highest
standards in hospitality and service.
And I am never disappointed by the
Intercontinental. They make you feel
like you are a member of their family.
They are always friendly and deliver
impeccable service. When I used to live
in Honolulu and San Francisco, I would
always book the Intercontinental when
visiting New York. And, I still go
there regularly, for dinner or to the
bar. I do a lot of my business meetings
there, also.
And if you really want to enjoy a rare
combination old world charm and modern
luxury, don’t pass up the opportunity to
stay at the Intercontinental Hotel in
Vienna, Austria. The hotel is
unsurpassed in style and service, and,
like all of the Intercontinental
throughout the world, it is ‘the’
destination for the discriminating
traveler. Not surprisingly, the
Intercontinental Hotels often are
‘booked up,’ though a wonderful
experience can be found at the many
Holiday Inns located throughout the
world. You can’t imagine the one in
Dubai – a modern marvel offering every
amenity. It is situated right on the
beach, creating ‘a little bit of heaven
on earth!’
One of my favorite managers at the
Intercontinental Hotels is Mr. Ronald
Hoogerbrugge. He is the General Manager
of the Intercontinental in Dusseldorf,
Germany now, he is charming, personable,
and gracious. He is the perfect host,
and has brought his elegant style and
high standards to many, many of the
Intercontinental Hotels.
While in Paris, we often
went shopping and out for dinner. There
is no better way to enjoy the City of
Lights than to take in the many fine
stores and dining experiences.
I want to thank Mr. Bill
Walsh for taking good care of us. We
feel like he is our godfather. And
thanks to Blak Pearl who hosted the
event and all the sponsors. And a big
thanks to all those who invited us to
dinner and helped us at the Expo. Angela
Ekeleme, and her group with Uplifted
Media, deserves special mention for
reserving seats for me in the front row,
all the time.
A shout
out to our classmates at the Expo and
Winn University: Cindy Harvey of Miss
Rejuvenator, Klaus-Jurgen Feilkas ,
Managing Director of Red Dot
Consultancy, who is originally from
Germany,
but now
have an office in Thailand and
Singapore, Simon Hedley, founder of VSO
Strategist, Jason McCarthy of Internet
Business Development (that has thirty
thousand members), Peter Sage, Chairman
of the Board Space Energy, of United
Arab Emirates, Dr. Veronica Anderson of
Medicine World Enterprises NYC, Jennifer
Viloria Managing
Director
Asian JV Investments LTD London,
Alexander Rich of Washington DC, Yemi
Akinsiwaju of Day Spring Consulting of
London,
L. Lee Richter
CEO Wellness for Animals California, Dr.
Eric Wong of University of Alberta,
Canada,
and so many more.
