Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund’s
23rd annual Discovery Celebration

Palm Beach, Fla. – Saks Fifth
Avenue Palm Beach was the scene of the kickoff party on
Friday, Jan. 17 for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the
Jimmy Fund’s 23rd annual Discovery Celebration.
Hosts Phyllis Krock, Dana-Farber
trustee, and Tom Quick, along with Peter Schuette, general
manager of Saks Fifth Avenue, Palm Beach treated more than
100 guests to a “Best of Saks Fifth Avenue” runway fashion
presentation, cocktails, and an informal dinner. Edward J.
Benz Jr., MD, president and CEO of Dana-Farber, spoke about
the impact that the Palm Beach community continues to have
in the fight against cancer and how important their support
is to Dana-Farber. Over the past 23 years, over $28 million
has been raised from the Palm Beach community.

The 23rd annual
Discovery Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22, at
the Mar-a-Lago
Club.
More than 400 civic,
business and philanthropic leaders, and celebrities will
enjoy an exclusive evening featuring gourmet fare, dancing,
and an intimate concert by Emmy and Tony Award winner and
Oklahoma Hall of Fame inductee, Kristin Chenoweth.
The grand honorary chairs are
Michele and Howard Kessler and Melania and Donald Trump.
Patrick Park is the honorary chair while Phyllis and Paul
Fireman, Vicki and Arthur Loring, Amy and Robert Schlager,
and Barbara and Arthur Simons are co-chairs.
