– Committee members, organizers, friends and supporters of CARP’s 16th Annual Spring luncheon gathered at Renatos restaurant in
Palm Beach on January 11th to celebrate the upcoming gala luncheon on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach. The reception honored the luncheon committee and Butch Trucks, co-founder and drummer of the legendary Allman Brothers Band, who will be the Guest Speaker. In addition, a special portrait of Mr. Trucks, painted by famed artist Michael Maness was unveiled, and will be a highlight of the live auction on the day of the luncheon.
Chairpersons for the 2011 Spring Luncheon are Dr. William Adkins, Barbara Katz, and Xiomara Ordonez. Luncheon
Co-Chairwomen are Lavinia Baker, Nancy Rifkin Hummel and Margaret Luce. Honorary Chairpersons are Patty Dean and
Park Miller.
The Spring Luncheon, which will be held at the Ritz-Carlton in Palm Beach, will debut the Cathleen McFarlane Ross Emeritus Award that will be presented to someone whose generosity recalls Mrs. Ross’s unwavering commitment to helping many who suffer from alcoholism and chemical dependency. The program also includes a live performance by Broadway singer, Avery Sommers, and pianist, Peppi Morraele. In addition, there will be a live and silent auction featuring many items donated by luxury retailers, designers and CARP supporters.

Proceeds from this event benefit the adolescent and family programs, CARP, Inc. offers through its Continuum of Care, including medical detoxification services, the Adolescent Residential Treatment Program, outpatient services, aftercare services and Parent and Family Support Groups.
