(PALM BEACH, Fla.) – Caron Renaissance Gala chairwoman, Petra Levin, hosted the 2011 gala committee members recently at a breakfast reception to discuss plans for the upcoming benefit event. Featuring Studio 54 legend and disco queen Gloria Gaynor in concert, the sixth annual gala benefiting the Lifesaver Scholarship Fund at Caron Renaissance will be Saturday, February 26, 2010 at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach.
The Saturday evening gala will feature a poolside reception, followed by a concert performance by Gloria Gaynor in the Grand Ballroom. Known for her greatest hit “I Will Survive,” Gaynor will be available to meet guests during a special VIP reception.
“Last year's concert format successfully raised more than $1 million for Caron's Lifesaver Scholarship Fund," said Mrs. Levin. "I am excited to announce that Gloria Gaynor will headline this year's concert and I am grateful to have wonderful sponsors on board and an enthusiastic committee to make the 2011 gala another memorable evening. It is critical we continue to raise awareness about the mission of Caron Renaissance in the community. The Lifesaver Scholarship Fund at Caron Renaissance provides financial assistance to families who might not otherwise be able to afford treatment at the renowned facility.”

The evening will feature a fashion presentation by renowned designer, Douglas Hannant with Neiman Marcus Palm Beach and presented by Kinnear Financial Limited. During the Douglas Hannant Spring Trunk Show at Neiman Marcus Palm Beach on January 28 and 29, a Douglas Hannant will donate a percentage of the proceeds to benefit Caron.
