Saks Shimmers at American Lung Association’s
10th Anniversary Jewels of Life Luncheon.
(February, 2012) The
American Lung Association’s Jewels of Life Committee and
sponsors celebrated the organization’s 10th
Anniversary Jewels of Life Luncheon on Thursday,
February 23. Saks Fifth Avenue Palm Beach lit up the
runway with sizzling spring fashions from the Saks
collections.
The Luncheon paid
tribute to event founder Suzy Minkoff. Minkoff
was presented a Leading Lady Oscar for her decade
of effort by newcomers Jason Brian and Brianna Mahler
of AutoCricket.com. Dr. Elizabeth Bowden, was
honored as the organization’s 2012 Humanitarian for her
outstanding philanthropic leadership in this community
and beyond, the award presented by last year’s winner,
Dr. Lois Pope. The event was beautifully chaired
by Gail Worth and Ari Rifkin, and focused
on raising funds for lung cancer and lung disease
research. Judi Richards and Soula Rifkin served
as fashion showcase chairmen.
Other Honorable
mentions include the event’s Honorary International
Chairman, longtime friend and good will ambassador,
Hermé deWyman Miro, Honorary National Chairmen,
Elizabeth Bowden, Rhoda Chase and Sieglinde Wikstrom.
Corporate benefactors Moneca Kaufmann of Kaufmann
deSuisse Jewelers and Rebecca Jobo of Saks Fifth
Avenue rounded out the honorary board. Boutique

Mimosa Hour event for the more than 225 guests on hand
to celebrate with the organization, which has entered
