Adding to the glamour
and excitement of the

legendary boxing
promoter Don King.
“We are so thrilled with
the success of this
event’s return to Palm
Beach,” said Bobby Leidy,

to the incredibly
dedicated committee and
volunteers who worked to
put this together, the
Young Friends Beach Bash
has taken another huge
step in establishing
itself as a ‘must
attend’ party of the
season.“
King chose the winning
ticket from the
thousands of raffle
tickets purchased by
hopeful attendees vying
for the swank Chopard
and C. Orrico sponsored
swag bag. Luxurious

“The Red Cross is
delighted with this
opportunity to extend
our presence into the
younger community of the
Palm Beach area,” said
Larry Casey, CEO of the
American Red Cross
Greater Palm Beach Area
Chapter. “The Young
Friends of the Red Cross
are doing an amazing job
in their mission to
establish and nurture
relationships with the
next generation of local
Red Cross supporters.”
With its rich history
amidst the Palm Beach
social scene, the Young
Friends Beach Bash’s
recent reprisal is the
brainchild of Bill and
Nancy Rollnick, chairmen
of 2009 International
Red Cross Ball.
Initiated in 1972 by the
late Helen Rich, Palm
Beach resident and
public relations master;
Sally Fenlon-Young,
wealthy socialite; and
H. Loy Anderson, noted
banker and Palm Beach
resident, the event was
known simply as the
Young Friends of the Red
Cross. The Greater Palm
Beach Area Chapter of
the American Red Cross
hope to reinstate its
tradition as a venue for
the next generation of
Palm Beach and New York
philanthropists to
initiate and fortify
relationships with local
causes.
