won the first prize
in the
American Tri-Continent Latin Dance Competition
On August 6th, the Marriott Hotel in Broadway Times Square
in New York, the 2022 Empire Latin Dance International
Competition officially kicked off.
This is one of the three most important international dance
competitions in the United States.
Joseph Liu, a 7-year-old Chinese-American boy from Cantiague
Elementary School in Long Island City, New York,
participated in the competition for the first time.
This is the first time in his life to participate in an
international dance competition, and it is also the second
time in his life that he has performed in a large public
place
His First Public Performance was
On National Day in 2021,
as the youngest volunteer to sing the national anthem at the
thank-you dinner for Mayor Adams' campaign.
In order to participate in the competition, he gave up the time he should
have played in the summer vacation, and found a Latin
teacher for hard training before the competition.
Entering the dance floor, he completed two cha-cha dance
competition performances. After completing the participating
dance performances, he won the applause of the judges and
the audience and won the first prize.
During the entire competition, he showed composure and
composure beyond his age.
Like a little gentleman, he showed his competition
performance steadily and powerfully.
The VIP guests gathered at the event, star-studded, and
attended by hundreds of Latin dancers, scholars, referees,
media reporters, business association leaders, and people
from all walks of life from five continents.
In this summer vacation, although he sacrificed the happy time to play, he
got the exercise and progress of perseverance and
concentration, etiquette and self-cultivation.
After the competition, he sincerely thanked his grandfather
and parents who raised him, his teachers who taught him, and
two sisters who accompanied him when he grew up.
Joseph Liu plans to continue to train hard in his spare
time, strive to show his artistic performance on a bigger
stage, and exercise his will and emotional intelligence
through dance and competition!

8月6日，在纽约市百老汇时报广场的万豪酒店,
2022帝国拉丁舞国际竞标赛正式拉开帷幕，这是美国最重要的三大国际舞大赛之一，
首次参加该竞标赛的来自纽约长岛市Cantiague
小学的7岁华童Joseph
Liu，这是他人生中第一次参加国际舞蹈竞赛，也是他人生中第二次在大型公众场合表演节目（第一次在是在2021的国庆节，在亚当斯市长参加竞选的谢客宴上，做为年龄最小的志愿者演唱国歌）。
为了参加该比赛，他放弃了暑假本该游玩的时光，并在比赛前找拉丁良师进行了刻苦的训练，功夫不负有心人，终于，在今天比赛中，他与辅导员姐姐Harmony
Liu
共同走进舞池，完成了两段恰恰舞蹈的比赛表演，他在完成参赛舞蹈表演之后获得了在场裁判与观众的喝彩，并荣获一等奖。在整个参赛过程中，他表现出了超越他这个年龄的镇定与沉稳，像一个小绅士一样，稳健有力的展现着自己的参赛表演。
此次活动嘉宾云集，星光熠熠，出席活动的还有来自三大洲不同族裔的拉丁舞蹈家、学生、裁判、媒体记者、商协会负责人、社会各界有关人士等数百人余人参加。在这个暑假中，虽然他牺牲了快乐的游玩时光，但却得到了毅力与定力、礼仪与修养的锻炼与进步。比赛之后，他真诚感谢了养育自己的爷爷与父母、教诲自己的老师，以及陪伴自己长大的两位姐姐。Joseph
