Sephira
are Irish sisters Joyce O'Leary (vocals and violin)
and Ruth O'Leary (violin and vocals)- two young
classically trained musicians who have forged their own
musical niche taking New York by storm with their unique
Celtic Classical Crossover brand of music.
They are best known in the States as the
“dancing fiddlers” from the Billboard topping show “Celtic
Thunder. They toured with the show between 2008-2010 and
they are now going out on their own as Sephira.
Previous to their “Celtic Thunder” fame the
girls have an amazing track record having performed on TV
with Michael Bublé, Andrea Boccelli, Enya, Andrea Corr and
Katherine Jenkins.
Larry Hagman (AKA JR Ewing from Dallas) is
one of Sephira’s biggest fans and refers to their debut
album “Believe” as the “soundtrack” to his magnificent Los
Angeles home.
President of Ireland, Mary McAleese is also a
huge fan of Sephira and often calls upon the girls to
entertain at her home.
The girls will be seen guesting on the
Michael Londra PBS special “Beyond Celtic” due to air
Fall 2011.
Now based in NYC, available to play the world!
