Two weeks ago on the weekend of the 27th-29th of September
my family and I were graciously hosted by Michael A. Tatoian,
the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of
Dover International Speedway.
Michael A. Tatoian, Executive Vice President
and Chief
Operating Officer of Dover International Speedway
It was a fun filled weekend of action both on
and off the track! The highlight of the weekend was Sunday's
"AAA 400"
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race.
Aric Almirola's car from the Richard Petty
Motorsports team,
being pushed out for the race.
Travis Kvapil, NO. 93...his car getting one last look before
the race.
The green car in the back #10, is driven by Danica Patrick,
the only female driver in the race.
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race.....and off
they go!
My family and I had never experienced a
NASCAR race and had no idea what to expect, but I will
certainly say after spending time with the drivers and
understanding the commitment involved, we are now truly
fans.
Hudson reached 180 miles on the race car
simulator.....
what a driver!
We had VIP passes during our stay which
allowed us access
to the "garage" and "pits" as well as anything else we wanted
to do or see.

garage at the

tires in his pit.
We were completely looked after by Michael and his beautiful
wife, as they were so thoughtful, right down to the smallest
detail, which included gift bags for the children upon
arrival at Dover Downs Hotel.

Family,
& Amir Mansour and wife.
The Dover Downs Hotel overlooks the Dover
International Speedway but if you really want a view of the
race track, you have the driver take you on the golf cart to
the Sky Box.

ready
to watch the race.
This is above the Grand Stands and the view is amazing!
Your ears are also protected from the extremely loud noise
the cars make and a beautiful buffet lunch is served with
cocktails
if you wish.
Hudson cheering Jeff Burton on!
My son, Hudson, was hooked....and immediately deemed
Jeff Burton, NO. 31 his man.
Hudson Cornelius Heinemann's Favorite...Jeff
Burton, NO. 31
One of Jeff's sponsors is Caterpillar, and my son is an
expert on heavy machinery, and excavating equipment. He
LOVES these machines and actually knows how to run them,
more on that later, but this was the immediate interest in
Jeff Burton.

Professional Heavy Weight Boxer ) Michael A. Tatoian, Jon L

We settled in and chose our favorites. My
daughter and I chose Dale Earnhardt Jr. No.88, and my
husband Jon chose Jimmy Johnson, NO. 48.
Jimmy Johnson NO. 48.. Winner of The NASCAR
Sprint Cup Series Race
Jimmy Johnson, in the Victory Lane after
winning the
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race.
This ended up being of little
consequence as Hudson was so excited about Jeff Burton we
started cheering and screaming for him to win as well! ( He
did not, Jimmy Johnson won,
this was his 8th time winning )
Jimmy Johnson doing his victory burn out for
the crowd.
The pit stops were especially interesting to
watch. In about 5 seconds the NASCAR pit crew could change
tires, do repairs,
and add gas.
Leaving the pit crew, and continuing the
race.
After the race we headed to Victory Lane where just a few
gather to hear a short speech by the winner. It was very
exciting and
my family and
I are now true fans of NASCAR!!!
Lots of love to you all...xoxo..Michelle-Marie Heinemann
