Charlene Wexler has a talent for tapping into
and articulating
the experiences and emotions of women as they relate
to rapid
societal changes.
In her new book, Farewell
to South Shore,
she immerses readers in the story of one woman’s desire to
gain independence and strength during a time of sweeping
cultural change in America — a story not only about
departure from a place, but also about moving on from a time
and culture that will never exist again.
