New York, NY, January 25, 2016
- Even on a cold winter night the Hamptons Heart Ball summer
event was all the buzz on January 20, 2016. Over 150 guests
attended a cocktail party hosted by Hamptons Heart Ball
Honoree Jean Shafiroff along with her husband Martin. Among
those enjoying the event were Barbara Poliwoda (Regional
Director of American Heart Association) and event Co-Chairs,
Randi Schatz, Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin, Tracy Stern. Jean
briefly spoke about her father who suffered from a heart
attack at the age of 51 and explained how good cardiac care
helped to keep him alive until the age of 94. She then
thanked the American Heart Association for the good work
they do to improve and educate the public on cardiac care.
Then a few words on the important work of the American Heart
Association were spoken by Dr. Jeffrey Moses, Prof. of
Medicine a Columbia University Hospital. Other supporters
in attendance included; best-selling author Michael Gross
and Barbara Hodes, Andrea Wernick, Cornelia Guest, Geoffrey
Bradfield, Debbie Bancroft and husband Billy Bancroft, ,
Margo Langenberg, Edgar Batista, Alex Donner, Roy Kean, Ann
Rapp, Lilliana Cavendish, Designers Victor dE Souza and
