Phoebe Legere hosted a marvelous party at the
Chelsea Hotel on July 1.
She was celebrating the opening of her exhibition at Chelsea
Blick Art Store
on 23rd St between 7th and 8th.
Her animatronic art installation and paintings can be seen
through August 31.

multidisciplinary artist, educator, philanthropist
and National Director of the nonprofit charity
Foundation for New American Art,
celebrates her birthday (July 4) with a concert,
art exhibit and dinner at Chelsea Hotel.

Legere's Foundation for New American Art
is a recent winner of a grant from
the National Endowment for the Arts
and the NY Department of Cultural Affairs;
in addition, all proceeds from Legere’s paintings &
music
go to fund free arts & music lessons for the children of
low-income,
at-risk communities.
Her free after school & Saturday program
“Paint Brushes Not Guns”
is having a wide social impact on children and youth in New
York.
Legere is also the conductor and music director of
the
Lower East Side Children’s Chorus.
