New York, NY – The new maestro of the kitchen
at The Four Seasons restaurant, Chef Fabio Trabocchi,
is about to make some beautiful music….and food,
with Copland House as it gears up for the fourth in
its stunning, one-night-only culinary and musical
collaborations featuring world-class chefs in New
York.
On Sunday evening, October 18 at 5pm, Copland House
and The Four Seasons celebrate the vibrant city
where the iconic composer Aaron Copland was born,
with New York at Night. Chef Trabocchi
will dazzle patrons with a specially-created,
four-course culinary feast inspired by the artistic
magic of past and present master composers,
including Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, Duke
Ellington, John Musto, and Derek Bermel -- all
dazzlingly “served” by the acclaimed Music from
Copland House ensemble and guests, including the
soprano Amy Burton and vocalist Darius DeHaas.
“This annual Copland House event can be counted upon
to uphold the world of original, adventurous music
and food, even if other worlds seem to be crumbling
around us” hailed Westchester magazine; “they
are unforgettable, heavenly, heady, and divine."
Copland House’s previous galas were all sold-out and
teamed America’s leading composers with celebrated
master chefs: Daniel Boulud and Richard Danielpour
for Troubadours’ Feast at Daniel, Eric Ripert
and Ned Rorem, William Bolcom, and others for
Paris After Dark at Le Bernardin, and Lidia
Bastianich and Aaron Jay Kernis for Optimism at
the Table Historic Landmarek at Del Posto.
Copland House is a unique creative center for
American music. A National Historic Landmark and an
Official Project of the White House Save
America's Treasures program, Copland’s restored,
longtime lower Hudson Valley residence is the only
composer's home in the U.S. devoted to nurturing and
renewing America's rich musical heritage through a
broad range of musical, educational, public,
informational, and electronic-media activities.
Copland House recently expanded and is taking over
the Merestead estate – a 26 room mansion on 130
acres in Bedford New York, to expand its activities
with public programs and collaborative residencies
New York at Night
