Last week's
trip to the Hudson Valley Wine
Festival was well-attended and
everybody had a lot of fun. We
hope you can join us for our
"Great
Greenport Getaway" next
Saturday, Sept 26th to the
picturesque
North Fork of Long Island.
We'll
be heading out to the
historic fishing village of
Greenport . There will
be wine tastings at
Pellegrini and
Duck Walk
Vineyards, lunch at a
seaside restaurant,
and a stop at a goat
farm where you can
check out the "kids" and buy
some fresh chevre.
There will
also be some time to check out
the sites in Greenport. This
trip is a first for Grape
Getaways and one that you'll
probably never forget.
If you sign up
now the cost of the trip
(includes tastings,
transportation and a 3-course
lunch at
Scrimshaw Restaurant
in Greenport)
is only $115
($105 for groups of 4 or more).
After Monday, Sept 20th
the regular price is $130 so it
is recommended that you sign
up now.
Our bus will
leave from midtown at 9:30 sharp
and we hope to get back around
7PM. As on all of our trips
there will be talk about wine on
the bus trip
out, "grape snacks" and an
opportunity to meet fellow wine
lovers. This is Grape Getaways'
sixth year.
