Research Foundation is holding their Fifth Anniversary Gala
Dinner November 4th honoring Bruce McEwen,
PhD author of “The End of Stress as We Know it”. Dr. McEwen
will speak about “Stress, Aging & the Brain- the Good and
the Not-So-Good.” The proceeds go towards hastening
treatments and cures for serious brain diseases and
conditions and towards student summer fellowships that
attract bright, motivated students to the field of
neuroscience, who can carry on this important research.
This
summer, the IES Brain Research Foundation’s 8 student
fellows worked with their outstanding neuroscientist mentors
on: epilepsy, drug addiction, long term memory, stroke,
antidepressants, schizophrenia, autism and brain cancer.
There have been some exciting results from their
research, especially on brain cancer.
The event will be from 7-11PM at the beautiful Hyatt
Morristown
in Morristown, NJ.(Easy access by car or train with free
hotel shuttle service to and from the train station near the
hotel, if you notify Faye in advance).There will be Hors
D’oevres, Dinner and Live Music (by the Two of Clubs) You
will hear from a few of our 2009 student fellows and
outstanding mentors.

October 25th as dinner prices go up
after October 25th. Register with friends or
family because with
4 or more dinners, the price per dinner lessens
while helping the Foundation more!!!!
