LOS
ANGELES, Calif. - OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center
announces its second-annual fundraiser, the Night for Hope
2009, will be held in West Los Angeles on Thursday, November
12, 2009. The organization's Junior Board is hosting the
social event for young professionals at The Mark, a hip,
modern event space located at 9320 West Pico Boulevard.
"Night for
Hope 2009 is a great opportunity for young professionals to
celebrate life, and to raise money to help grieving hearts
heal," said Tiffany Cannis, Executive Director of OUR HOUSE
Grief Support Center.
Founded in
1993, OUR HOUSE provides a safe, healing environment for
children, teens and adults coping with the death of someone
close. The Junior Board of OUR HOUSE was established in
early 2008 by a diverse group of young professionals whose
lives have been personally touched by grief, and who want to
raise awareness among other 20- and 30-somethings that help
is available.
"Some of the
members of our Junior Board have themselves sought solace in
an OUR HOUSE support group," explained Cannis. "They are
united in their commitment to honor the lives of their loved
ones us by introducing OUR HOUSE to a new generation."
Tickets to
the event are $50 per person for unlimited appetizers,
dessert and drinks, including wines by De Tierra Vineyards,
and the chance to participate in a silent auction. The price
of each ticket also helps supports one child or adult in a
grief support group for one month. Tickets are available
for purchase online at
.
"The Junior
Board is inviting young professionals to come out on
Thursday, November 12 for Night for Hope 2009 in support of
a good cause that touches everyone's lives," said Cannis.
