In
the past twelve months, demand for services at The
Retreat has increased almost 40%. “There is a
tremendous need to meet this demand, not only for
the wellbeing of our clients, but for our community
as a whole,” says Executive Director Jeffrey
Friedman.
For
more than 20 years the Retreat has been providing
domestic violence services and education to families
on the East End of Long Island. Programs include a
residential shelter, a 24-hour domestic violence
hotline, individual and group counseling for women
and children, legal advocacy and an in-school
violence prevention education program taught in our
local schools.
In
addition to the donation of sales, Tory Burch will
hold a raffle for one of their signature Totes and a
“Private Shopping Party for 10” at the East Hampton
Village store for all who make purchases during that
time.
Local
resident and Retreat board member Cindy Feinberg is
hosting the event and will be on-hand to share her
experience working with the women and children
served by The Retreat’s shelter. Tory Burch is
located at 47 Newtown Lane, East Hampton.
