Arthur Schneier, Founder of the Appeal of
Conscience Foundation, to bestow the
organization's annual awards at the 2010
Appeal of Conscience Dinner, on
Tuesday, September 21 at the Waldorf=Astoria
in New York City. Reception is at 6PM;
Dinner at 7PM.

Hon. Dr. Manmohan Singh,
Prime Minister of the Republic of India
will receive the World Statesman Award
as a leader of integrity who has earned
the respect of his people, for his
commitment to democracy, freedom, human
rights and peace in the service of
humanity;

Mr. John Elkann,
Chairman, Fiat Group, and Mr. Stephen
A. Schwarzman, Chairman, CEO &
Co-Founder, the Blackstone group will
each receive the Appeal of Conscience
Award.
Past recipients of the World Statesman Award
include Prime Minister Gordon Brown
(2009),
President Nicolas Sarkozy (2008),
Chancellor Angela Merkel (2007) and
President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva
(2006). Other recipients include former
Prime Ministers Margaret Thatcher,
Romano Prodi, John Howard,
King Juan Carlos I and
Mikhail Gorbachev.
The ACF has also recognized leading
international business leaders including
Bill Marriot, Jorma Ollila,
Josef Ackermann, Daniel Vasella,
Michael Bloomberg, Jeff Immelt
and Peter Peterson.
The ACF, founded by Rabbi Arthur Schneier in
1965, has worked on behalf of religious
freedom, human rights and tolerance
throughout the world. The inter-faith
coalition of business and religious leaders
promote mutual understanding, peace and
interfaith dialogue.
