LongHouse Reserve will host its annual Summer Gala at their
16-acre East Hampton grounds on Saturday, July 17 honoring
Laurie Anderson and Jan Cowles. The evening’s theme is
EXCENTRICA
for two reasons….It was suggested to LongHouse by the
fabulous newly installed wind-borne sculptures of George
Rickey that grace their dunes and their pond and naturally
became the theme for their evening because the two great
ladies being honored live outside any traditional
boundaries. Attire is Wear black and white — always the
hallmarks of the unconventional and sublime. Filled with
entertainment, luscious food and drink, and the most diverse
and anticipated auction of the Hampton's season. Expect a
performance from Laurie Anderson as you have never seen and
heard before. All proceeds from the Summer Gala will support
the LongHouse Reserve’s mission to exemplify living with art
in all forms – a mission started in 1991 by Jack Lenor
Larsen, one of the world’s foremost advocates of traditional
and contemporary crafts.
