All Junior Council events include special viewings of Museum
exhibitions or films, a discussion by Museum scientists, and
a cocktail reception.
The Junior Council
kicks off its 2010-2011 season on Thursday, October 7,
from 6:30 to 9:30 pm, with a private screening of
Hubble and a cocktail reception. This spectacular
IMAX film recounts the amazing journey of the most important
scientific instrument since Galileo's original telescope.
immersing audiences in the great wonders and astounding
beauty of our universe.
The season continues on Thursday, December 7,
from 6:30 to 9:30 pm, with
a private viewing of
the new major exhibition Brain: The Inside
Story and a cocktail reception.
This immersive exhibition will allow visitors to
explore how the brain a product of millions of years of
evolution produces thoughts, senses, and feelings;
experience how the brain is continually changing at
different stages of life; and discover how new understanding
of the workings of the brain may help scientists repair and
reverse declines in brain function.
The season concludes
with a special event on Thursday, June 23, which will
feature a panel discussion followed by a cocktail reception
and live jazz on the Arthur Ross Terrace.
