HOUSTON,
TEXAS, – Decorative Center Houston (DCH)
announced today that the annual Spring Design
Market will be held on Tuesday,
April 27, 2010, starting at 10:30 am with a Film
Preview and Keynote Presentation. The
documentary preview and panel discussion on how
luxury is being redefined in today’s marketplace
will be moderated by Editor-at Large, Carolyn
Englefield, from Veranda Magazine, and
panelists, Art of Design award winner, Peter
Pennoyer; designer and Art of Design Judge, Todd
Merrell and designers, Michelle Nussbaumer and
Geoffrery Westergarrd. Panels will lead
discussions on craft, innovation, authenticity,
value and social responsibility on how they
contribute to today’s definition
of luxury.
Following
the keynote presentation, sponsors will host
showroom events throughout the day. Final
keynote presentation will begin at 3:00 p.m.
with “The Evolution of Design”
lead by The Editor at Large,
Sophie Donelson and Julie Noran. Panelist,
Michael Bruno, Founder, 1stDibs.com;
Jillian St. Charles, Vice President and Site
Director HGTV.com; Brad Ford, Designer and
Founder, Design Therapy; Ronda Carman, Founder,
All the Best Blog and Joni Webb, Founder, Cote
de Texas will lead a discussion on using new
tools and resources to innovate and take
business in new directions. Through creative
initiatives and forward thinking, theses
panelist have become trailblazers with setting
new standards and contributing to a new evolving
world of design.
