On Thursday, November 11th,
The Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY)
2010 Benefit Dinner - “Investing in Children, Strengthening
Families,” will be held at the Waldorf = Astoria Hotel
in New York City.
That night we will present the Lillian
D. Wald Award to VNSNY
Board Member Attallah Kappas, MD, Sherman Fairchild
Professor
and Physician-in-Chief Emeritus, The Rockefeller University,
and to Mark Wagar, President & CEO, Empire BlueCross
BlueShield.
The award, named after the public health
pioneer and founder of VNSNY, is presented in recognition of
individuals who have made significant contributions to the
health and welfare of others.
Proceeds support our
Children and Family Services programs (CFS), which provide
direct care and specialized support services to almost
10,000 children and their families, making it one of the
largest programs of its kind in New York. Every donation
improves our ability to reach out and help families cope
with the impact of
acute and chronic conditions, medically fragile children,
children with developmental issues or special needs, and for
high-risk families.
For
information or to purchase tickets/ads, please contact John
Billeci at 212-609-1565 or
