New York Peace
Angel fundraiser: August 16, 2011
Dear Friend,
I am writing to let you know about a very wonderful
project that I'm championing for the Art of Peace
Charitable Trust, a non-profit foundation,
established by my friend and renowned sculptress,
Lin Evola. She envisioned creating angel sculptures
out of melted weapons in an effort to promote peace
around the world.
We are helping raise funds through a series of
events for the first five foot New York Peace Angel.
This sculpture is to be created and erected in the
lobby of One Police Plaza. The New York Peace Angel
will be designed from a mixture of decommissioned
nuclear missile casings and confiscated illicit
weapons donated by law enforcement. Statistically,
for every gun that is removed from the streets two
lives are saved.
Come and meet my friend, artist Lin Evola, who will
design the New York Peace Angel. She is the creator
of the 13-foot New York Renaissance Peace Angel who
watched over thousands of first responders at Nino's
Restaurant during the search and recovery efforts in
the aftermath of 9/11 at the World Trade Center.
We are launching the New York Peace Angel
fundraiseron August 16, 2011
at Antonee's on Broadway (115 N. Broadway, White
Plains, NY at 6:30 - 9:30 pm).
For more information on this and other upcoming
events.
We hope you will come in support of this unique and
unprecedented effort to promote peace through the
timeless beauty of angels.
Warmest regards,
Perry Di Napoli
