Harold McGraw III, Chairman, President and CEO of The
McGraw-Hill Companies receives the Hartley House Award for
Philanthropic Excellence.

HONORING: Harold McGraw III, Chairman, President and CEO of
The McGraw-Hill Companies and Vice President of the Hartley
House Board of Trustees, as our honoree, in recognition of
his deep commitment to Hartley House. Mr. McGraw and his
family have a long history of support for Hartley House, a
relationship which began more than five decades ago and
continues to this day. The lives of thousands of families in
Hell’s Kitchen have been improved because of the generosity
and personal involvement of Mr. McGraw and The McGraw-Hill
Companies in Hartley House. Mr. McGraw will be presented
with the Hartley House Award for Philanthropic Excellence.

Since 1897, Hartley House has provided outstanding
educational, social, and recreational services to the youth,
adult and senior residents of Hell’s Kitchen. Today, at any
given time more than 1,000 of our neighbors are receiving
the specialized services they need to overcome the obstacles
they face. Hartley House is not only a headquarters for
social services; it is a home to the many people who enter
its doors and experience the warmth of its community.
