Party in Your Playground
On Wednesday, May 25, 2011, from 3:30 to 6:30 pm, the
Playground Partners of the Women’s Committee of the Central
Park Conservancy hosts its Annual Playground Party at
Heckscher Playground, inside the Park at Central Park South
and 7th Avenue.
The event will be a family-friendly fundraiser with music by
the Brady Rymer Band, marionette puppet shows, official
Central Park vehicles to explore, a life-sized chess and
checker board, relay races, rock climbing walls, a bouncing
Belvedere Castle, fishing pools, face-painting,
storytelling, sand art craft making and more. There will
also be a delicious buffet featuring many sweets
and treats.
The Party Chairmen are Kathryn Beach, Hannah Buchan, Jessica
Oliver, and Nina Whitman. Kamie Lightburn is the Playground
Partners Committee Chairman. Gillian Miniter is the
President of the Women’s Committee. Proceeds from the event
help keep the Park's 21 playgrounds clean, safe, and
well-maintained.
Tickets begin at$120 per adult and $60 per child.
