Asia Society highlights Asia Week New York with an exciting
and festive signature gala benefit, Celebration of Asia
Week. Now in its fourth year, Asia Society’s Celebration of
Asia Week gala brings together leading Asian and Asian
American designers and artists, as well as Asian art
dealers, collectors and enthusiasts, in a benefit to support
Asia Society’s museum and cultural activities and its
mission of connecting Asians and Americans.
Asia Week New York, March 16–24, is a collaboration of
museums, galleries, auction houses, and Asian art
specialists and enthusiasts hosting exhibitions, previews
and special programs throughout the city for a discerning
clientele from around the world.
This year Celebration of Asia Week Benefit evening is themed
on the richness of Chinese art, culture and history, with
music, entertainment, cuisine and décor. The cocktail
reception begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a dinner at 7:30
in the Grand Ballroom and featuring the unique flavors of
China with celebrated Asian Chefs. The evening continues
with lively entertainment and dance music.
Attire for the event is Black Tie, Asian Chic or Festive
National Dress. Attending the event will Benefit Chairs
Betsy and Edward Cohen and Stephanie and John Foster.
Special guests from the worlds of art, culture,
business/finance, fashion, and more include: Carolyn Hsu-Balcer

Society’s work across the fields of arts and culture, policy

During Asia Week New York, Asia Society celebrates the 2012
opening of its new cultural centers, each with gallery
space, in Hong Kong and in Houston.
