On Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 5:30 p.m., Chef Daniel Boulud
will continue his more than decade-long support of
Citymeals-on-Wheels with his famed Sunday Supper. This year,
the evening should prove particularly festive, as it
coincides with the chef's March 25th birthday celebration.
Joining him as co-hosts this year are Mr. & Mrs. Thierry
Gardinier of Paris's legendary restaurant, Taillevent.
150 privileged guests will savor the opportunity to indulge
at DANIEL, one of New York's most elegant dining
destinations, as they are served a sumptuous four-course
black truffle laden dinner, prepared by Chef Daniel Boulud
and special guest chef, Alain Solivérès of Taillevent,
Paris. Wine Chair Daniel Johnnes will serve the fine wine
selections he is renowned for, in particular this year,
Château Phélan Segur, as well as Champagne Taillevent for
the pre-dinner reception. The evening will also include
silent and live auctions. Attire is "Casual Chic." Robert S.
Grimes will serve as Co-Chair.
Individual seats for the event are $1,250 per person.
"Gourmand" tables for ten guests are $25,000 per table,
inclusive of prestige wine pairings. The silent auction will
include rare and large format wines and specialty gourmet
selections. The live auction will feature one-of-a-kind
travel and dining experiences.
To purchase tickets or donate an auction item(s), please
contact the Special Events Department at Citymeals-on-Wheels:
Charlotte@CITYMEALS.ORG , or 212-687-1290 . 100% of
ticket and auction proceeds will support Citymeals and its
preparation and delivery of nutritious meals to homebound
elderly New Yorkers. Official sponsors to-date include
American Airlines and
FIJI Water.
