Miami City Ballet Announces Plans and Leadership for the
Twenty-Sixth Anniversary Dinner Dance
“Palm Beach MODness!”
Palm Beach, FL – Celebrating Miami City
Ballet's twenty-six years of world class dance in Palm Beach
County, the internationally acclaimed Company will present
“Palm Beach MODness!” a retro sixties styled cocktail
reception and dinner dance scheduled for 7:00 p.m.,
Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Henry Morrison Flagler
Museum, One Whitehall Way, Palm Beach.
Co-Chairwomen for the benefit are loyal supporters of
Miami City Ballet's Palm Beach presence Cheryl Gowdy and
Adelaida Muňiz-Iscoe.
The MOD Squad Gala Committee members for this groovy soiree
boasts a roster of seasoned philanthropists to include: Nick
and Marian Albergo, Caroline Collings, Alfred Fiandaca,
Vicki Halmos, Mimi Kahn, Chris and Vicki Kellogg, Katrina
Lee, Lora Schultz and David and Elizabeth Wetherell .
Kicking off the high-energy fab fete, guests
will be greeted with libations reminiscent of the sixties
era including High Balls and Martinis, shaken not stirred,
compliments of Bacardi USA, Inc. Take a trip down the '60s
Penny Lane and mingle amongst the likes of Austin Powers,
Andy Warhol, the Beatles and Twiggy. The evening will
continue with a spectacular one-night-only performance by
Miami City Ballet's internationally acclaimed artists of the
Ballet. Dinner and the unprecedented opportunity to dance
with the star studded dancers will follow in the Mod
designed Crystal Pavilion.
Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a drawing
for a chance to win unique packages including “From Port to
Pointe” a day of port-side cruising, cocktails and culture
featuring round-trip limousine service and a gourmet lunch
for 12 aboard the luxury cruise liner Silversea. The
excursion will continue with a behind-Miami City
Ballet-scenes tour and premium seats for all of your guests
to a spectacular MCB matinee performance. Other packages
offered for this exclusive raffle include “South Beach
Ballet Getaway”, and a “Palm Beach Fête for Four” including
VIP ticketing and tours of the Company's programming at the
Kravis Center and the Broward Performing Arts Center and
luxury items including a $1,200 gift certificate to Fiandaca,
Palm Beach.. Benefit Drawing tickets are $25 each or 5 for
$100. The drawing will take place at the event on February
8th.

Miami City Ballet celebrates 26 years of performances this
2011/2012 season in Palm Beach County at the Kravis Center
for the Performing Arts. Revered as one of our country's

more than 80 works.
With an enrollment exceeding 400 students, Miami City
