Boynton Beach, FL---The Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion
History’s Seventh Annual Children & Parents Day has a new
date, new location and new theme. The 2012 theme is
Celebrating National Find A Rainbow Day. This annual family
day event will be on Sunday, April 1, 2012, 12 noon to 4pm,
at the historic Boynton Beach Woman’s Club located at 1010
S. Federal Highway, Boynton Beach, FL. Target Stores is the
Grand Sponsor.
The activities for the event are Rainbow-themed gardening
activities, storybook reading, various arts and crafts
stations and face painting. The American Heritage School of
Boca/Delray and their students in the Science National Honor
Society will be conducting a rainbow-making activity. There
will also be a live Magic Rainbow Show by Colonel Mufflefoot
Buffington, III. In addition to the all-you-can-eat buffet
including food from Toojay's Gourmet Deli, Palermo’s Bakery
of Boynton Beach is sponsoring the Rainbow Cake and Rainbow
Smoothies are being provided by The Juice Bar of Lake Worth.
The Juice Bar will also be conducting a workshop at the
event about the healthy benefits of fruits and vegetables
used to created the smoothies.
As an ode to the theme, the suggested event attire is casual
in any color
of the Rainbow.
Other supporters of the event, to date, include the Patricia
Ann Ravo Fund; the Boris & Edith Rueger Fund, and US 1 AC
Self Storage. Sponsorship opportunities are still available
for Children & Parents Day.
The purpose of this festive program is to provide a
fun-filled day of
family adventures with arts, crafts and history education
activities for children. The arts and crafts at the event
will help to encourage
motor-skill development.
Admission fees are $15 per person for adults, senior
citizens and children age 3 and over; free for children
under age 3. Fees are inclusive of food, activities and

The Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History was established in
year 1999 and is a non-profit 501c3 organization with the
mission to offer educational programs, and history and
retrospective anthropology exhibits showcasing lifestyle,
cultures, people, places, fashion trends, clothes,
architecture, furnishings, decorative arts, interior
designs, locomotives and toys, and information about popular
uses of artifacts by people/events of various periods of
time.
