as a Way of Life”
Carp. Inc. will
host the 28th Annual
Holiday Gala & Peter Fairclough Memorial Recognition Awards
Ceremony Honoring Community Leaders on Sunday,
December 8, 2013 at
the Hilton Palm Beach Airport. The Holiday Gala will be a
celebration of recovery with more than 300 attendees
recognizing key leaders in the field of substance abuse and
mental health.
The
Comprehensive Alcoholism Rehabilitation Programs, Inc.
established The Annual Recognition Awards Ceremony in 1986
in memory of Peter Fairclough, founder of CARP, Inc. and a
pioneer in the field of substance abuse treatment in Palm
Beach County.
Recipients of
this coveted award are widely recognized for their selfless
dedication to furthering the field of mental health and
substance abuse treatment. This year, CARP, Inc. will
recognize individuals who have made significant
contributions to advancing treatment, especially in private
and public sector treatment, homeless substance abuse
services, behavioral health advocacy and volunteerism.
Proceeds from the 28th Annual
Holiday Gala will provide funding for substance abuse
treatment for low income and indigent men and women in South
Florida. CARP, Inc. founded Palm Beach County’s first
Halfway House Program for recovering alcoholics and is in
its 46th year
of service. More than 4,000 men, women and adolescents
access CARP treatment programs annually and services are
accessible and available to all seeking recovery, with no
regard to ability to pay.
