Please participate in the
charity walk in Hyde Park to support widows, who
have become the victims of discrimination soon after
the death of their husband. As a result, their
children miss out on their childhood and schooling
as they have no choice but to work on streets or
factories where child labour abuse is common place.
If you have not yet
registered, don’t worry you can still come to Hyde
Park to join us on 23rd June. You can pay
the registration fee of £20 on the day (cash only)
and receive your T-shirt and a bottle of water. On
completion of the walk, you will also receive a
medal and a £5 food voucher, which will enable you
to buy a picnic pack containing a sandwich, cake and
a piece of fruit. Hot food, such as hamburgers,
sausage rolls and bacon sandwiches as well as ice
cream will also be available for you to enjoy a
picnic with your friends and relatives in Hyde Park.
While you will be
supporting a worthy cause you will also enjoy a
wonderful day out in the Royal Park in the centre of
London, so please do encourage your friends and
family to come and we look forward to seeing you
soon.
Please do let us know if
you are planning to come and register on the day so
that we have an accurate idea of numbers, and if you
have any other questions please contact Chandni
Dhanak at
chandni.dhanak@theloombafoundation.org.
