Kitchen and Hayground School. Confirmed chefs include Alfred
Portale (Gotham Bar & Grill), Jason Weiner (Almond), Joe
Realmuto (Nick & Toni's) and Christian Mir (Stone Creek

The Chefs Dinner is the primary fundraiser for
Bridgehampton's Hayground School www.haygroundschool.org
and an annual tribute to the late Jeff Salaway,
beloved restaurateur and one of the school's co-founders.
Toni Ross, artist and restaurateur (and the late Salaway's
wife) says, "Jeff believed that the growing, preparation and
sharing of food is a primal human experience and the
foundation of family and community." Hayground integrates
classes in nutrition, food science, cooking, and gardening
into its curriculum, using state-of-the-art Jeff's Kitchen
as a classroom. The school has long been at the forefront
of Edible Schoolyard and Slow Food movements.
