Country Artist Genevieve Allen at Steele Red Carpet Party
On April 25th, Nashville country artist will walk
the red carpet at Steele Red Carpet Party on a luxury 14.5
million Houston estate provided by John Daugherty Realtors
at 7 p.m. along with Frances Fisher, Landon Gimenez,
Elizabeth De Razzo, Disney star Allie DeBerry, country
singer Allen Duhon, Wes Brown and other stars. Genevieve
will also be perform a few songs from her CD Whiskey Kisses,
during Allen Duhon’s concert at the property’s outdoor
pavilion which seats 250 people.
Currently on tour promoting her new album Whiskey Kisses.,
Genevieve Allen was recently signed by BMI Records as a
songwriter. Currently, she is working on several projects
with several established country artists and songwriters.
Genevieve started her music career at the age of six with
classical piano and has performed both classical piano and
vocal operettas. This was before she started playing the
guitar and singing traditional country.
Genevieve was born in a small town outside Houston, Texas
before moving to Nashville. Being from Texas, she always
wanted to be in contests. “I grew up competing with piano
and rodeo. I still train and break my own horses. I did try
out for Miss Tennessee and was the Miss Dogwood Festival
2012,”she stated. She describes her first big break, “I was
in Nashville and got this harebrained idea to knock on doors
on Broadway in Nashville. Tootsies, one of the most iconic
Nashville nightclubs for a country performer, were actually
the last bar I walked in to audition. I didn't even have
guitar with me. The bartender was the only one in Tootsies,
and I was told they weren’t auditioning. Something changed
his mind and called Tootsie’s owner. I spoke with the club
owner and he told me to get the guy onstage to let me use
his guitar and to play something. I guess they liked it,
because they told me to come back the next afternoon for my
first acoustic gig in the backroom of Tootsies! Since then,
I have been writing and performing. My band in Texas will do
shows in the South and I plan to be splitting my time
between my two homes—Tennessee and Texas,” said Genevieve
Allen. For interviews with Genevieve, contact Karen Steele,
