celebrating the forward thinking of the best minds in our
industry, new product unveilings, and book signings.

The seventh annual Stars of Design and third annual
Stars on the Rise Awards saluting outstanding design
talent will be presented from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. on May 1
in the Ground Floor Gallery. The ceremony spotlights a
select group of renowned designers within Houston community
who are highly regarded for their significant achievements
and contributions to their various fields of design
including Interior Design, Architecture, Art, Photography,
Graphic Design, Landscape Design and special recognition for
Lifetime Achievement.

6:30 P.M.

Altered Egos,
a retrospective exhibition of over 100 works by acclaimed
Los Angeles born portrait author and photojournalist, Nancy
Ellison. The exhibit opens May 1 and runs through June. in
space 107 located on the first floor of the newly renovated
Courtyard. The exhibition will benefit M.D Anderson
Cancer Center and guests will be treated to a cocktail
reception attended by Mrs. Ellison. The exhibition consists
of photographs spanning Ellison’s career shooting notable
talent and personalities such as Pierce Brosnan, Jack
Nicholson, Mick Jagger, Orson Welles, Sharon Stone, Sean
Penn, Isabella Rossellini, the honorable William Jefferson
Clinton and former Secretary of State and Honorable Hillary
Rodham Clinton, Dustin Hoffman, Anjelica Huston, amongst
others, even Barbie as Liz Taylor and Ken as Frank Sinatra.
