Description: This year’s black-tie
“Life Without Lupus Gala 2014”at the American Museum of
Natural History celebrates the breakthroughs in lupus
research that are transforming patients’ lives and bringing
us closer to a cure. Gala Honoree, Iris Cantor, is
passionate about improving healthcare and furthering medical
research that will enhance the quality of life – goals the
S.L.E. Lupus Foundation and the Lupus Research Institute
deeply share and foster. Our
Scientific Honoree, Dr. Bahija Jallal, is recognized for
helping MedImmune fulfill its commitment to the lupus
community as it champions innovation, pioneers scientific
discovery and pursues safe and effective new treatments.
Over 600 guests will enjoy a full program and
extravagant dinner served by Caterer Restaurant Associates,
the official caterer for the Museum.
Entertainment: The
legendary, Tony Bennett will give a special performance in
this intimate setting for a cause he has supported for
decades. A live auction will allow participants to support
specific patient programs or a particular piece of
cutting-edge research at renowned institutions worldwide.
