NYU LANGONE MEDICAL CENTER – THE VIOLET BALL
The 2014 NYU Langone Medical Center’s Violet Ball will honor
Gary D. Cohn, President and COO, Goldman Sachs; Trustee, NYU
Langone Medical Center, and Lisa Pevaroff-Cohn, artist and
designer, for their years of dedication to the medical
center. Kenneth G. Langone, NYU Langone Medical Center Board
Chair, will serve as the gala chair, and Robert I. Grossman,
MD, The Saul Farber Dean and CEO, will serve as the
physician committee chair. This
year’s Violet Ball will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014
with cocktails beginning at 6:00 p.m. and dinner at 7:00
p.m. at Cipriani 42nd Street,
110 East 42nd Street
in Manhattan.
The Violet
Ball will celebrate the Medical Center’s longstanding
tradition of excellence in education, research, and patient
care. The gala will also raise significant funds to address
the institution’s areas of greatest need, advance its bold
vision, and strengthen its role as a rich resource for the
diverse communities of New York and beyond. Since its
founding in 1841, NYU Langone Medical Center has been one of
the nation’s foremost academic medical institutions.
