Young Folk Host Outsider Art Fair After-Party May 8
Young Folk,
the official young supporters of the American
Folk Art Museum, will host the After-Party of the Outsider
Art Fair Opening
night on May 8 on the rooftop of Center 548 (the former home
of the Dia Art Foundation), 548
West 22nd Street, New
York, New
York10011.
From 6-9PM, After-Party guests, collectors and museum
supporters will be granted first access to the Outsider Art
Fair during the 'Vernissage' preview. From 9-11PM, guests
will move to the tented rooftop for the After-Party, a
celebration under the stars with a view of downtown
Manhattan and
the Hudson
River. The After-Party will feature specialty
cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and music by DJ
Vikas Sapra.
Now in its 22nd year,
Outsider Art Fair continues to be the world's foremost
annual show of Outsider, Self-Taught and Folk Art. For
anyone who has been paying attention to what's going on in
the art world, the Outsider Art Fair is a must-see event,
says Andrew
Edlin, CEO of Wide Open Arts which took over the
ownership of the fair last season and this year moved it
from winter to spring. With a total of 48 exhibitors from
around the globe, this year's fair features artists from
countries including the Democratic Republic of the Congo,
New Zealand, Haiti, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy and Brazil.
