DESTINY RISING, an Evening of Dance
at The Joyce Theater on 2/16 to Benefit
NYC Dance Alliance Foundation
See some of New York City and the country’s most renowned
dance companies on Monday,
February 16 at 7:30pm at The
Joyce Theater (175
8th Avenue),
where the NYC
Dance Alliance Foundation will
present DESTINY
RISING, an
incredible evening of dance artistry to benefit the NYC
Dance Alliance Foundation College Scholarship Program (which
to date has awarded $12.5
million in college scholarships to
over 200 dancers all over the country). Featuring special
performances from prominent professional dance companies
from across the United States (plus outstanding NYC Dance
Alliance alumni and NYC Dance Alliance faculty), some of the
artists and companies taking part include Cedar
Lake Contemporary Ballet, the Intermezzo
Dance Company, and Keigwin
+ Company. There
will also be over $50k in college scholarships awarded the
night of on 2/16.
VIP tickets to DESTINY RISING are $100 (prime
orchestra ticket and a ticket to the after party),
additional tickets are priced at $45 (orchestra
seating) and $25 (for
loge or front row orchestra seating) and can be purchased by

Featured on 2/16 will
also be performances from Peter
Chu (artistic
director of chuthis.), the Chapman
University Dance Ensemble, PPA
Commercial Dance Company, Andy Pellick (Original
Broadway casts of Wicked & Tarzan),
and Arizona’s Plumb
Performing Arts Center. Choreographers
whose work will be showcased include Peter
Chu, Andonis Foniadakis, Lauren Gaul, Melissa Jackson, Larry
Keigwin, Andy Pellick, and former
ABT soloist Craig
Salstein.
