HOSTS “CHAMPAGNE
AND SHOPPING” EVENT AT CABOCHON JEWELRY
TO TOAST NEW
JUNIOR COMMITTEE
Hope for Depression Research Foundation (HDRF) will hold a
“champagne and shopping” reception on Tuesday, January 27
from 6 to 8 pm at Cabochon Jewelry, 1044 Lexington Avenue in
New York City. Cabochon will donate 20% of the proceeds of
all sales to HDRF’s advanced neuroscience research. The
event has been organized by HDRF’s new Junior Committee, a
network of young professionals who wish to raise awareness
and funds for HDRF’s mission to advance the understanding
and treatment of depression, a major worldwide health issue.
“We’re excited to
team up with Cabochon Jewelry to bring committed young
professionals together in support of such an important
cause,” said Nicole DiCocco, who is spearheading HDRF’s
Junior Committee. “Cabochon has a huge fan base and we
expect a great turn-out.”
Based in
Southampton, NY, Cabochon Jewelry
carries a
curated collection of high-end fashion jewelry pieces from
around the world. Cabochon expanded to its Lexington Avenue
location in the fall of 2014.
HDRF is the leading
non-profit dedicated solely to advanced depression research;
its main goal is to find the root causes of depression and
develop new and better treatments. To that end the
Foundation has funded 104 research grants in 12 countries,
18 US cities and 48 research institutions, including Harvard
and Rockefeller University. Currently it is focused on the
research plan of the Depression Task Force, an outstanding
collaboration of leading neuroscientists, each a pioneer in
their own field -- including genetics, epigenetics,
molecular biology, electrophysiology, and brain imaging.
