empowerment and growth of minority-owned businesses
throughout the region.
This year, Alvin West, CFO and Senior Vice President of
the Greater Miami Convention and Visitor’s Bureau (GMCVB),

and communications agencies, will serve as event
co-chairs.
This year’s gala will be held at Jungle Island's Treetop
Ballroom, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami, Florida,

silent auction, followed by a gourmet dinner, award
presentation, and a special performance by acclaimed
jazz vocalist and GMCVB Board Member Carole Ann Taylor
during the dinner hour. A post performance will be
performed by the Old Skool Gang.
“For more than four decades the M-DCC has
worked to serve as an advocate and source of empowerment
for black-owned businesses, and as South Florida
continues to diversify culturally, we look forward to
embracing and uniting the multicultural business
communities, here and throughout the Caribbean for
greater economic growth and impact,” said G. Eric
Knowles, President and CEO, Miami-Dade Chamber of
Commerce. “Together, we are becoming what the rest of
the nation is looking to become, an example of what
truly makes America great. A community of different
races, ethnicities, and cultures working together for
the common good, while creating an environment that our
children aspire to lead into the future.”
Individual gala tickets are available for
$200 per person and $2,250 for a table seating 10
guests. Event sponsorships, ranging from $3,000 to
